Year in Review
Pizzeria LaFerrera is a weekly supper club hosted by
. Our goal this year was to make 256 pizzas, here are some fun statistics about what we learned along the way.
After making 256 pizzas, we did some math to see how that adds up.
Pounds of pizza eaten
That's the average weight of a football linebacker.
Square Feet of Pizza
That's the size of studio apartment in Manhattan.
Different kinds of pizza made
That's a lot of dumb puns.
cacio e pepe
Meat or Nah?
Some people just don't eat cheese.
Grandma would be proud.
Crusts consumed by our dog
There's probably more that we don't know about.
Making pizza every week takes a lot of ingredients, here's the breakdown of provisions we went through.
pounds of flour
That's 21 bags of flour.
pounds of mozzerella
That's the weight of an Irish Setter
Gallons of Water
That's... uh... like 5 gallons of milk.
gallons of olive oil,
times from scratch,
pounds of salt,
pounds of sausage,
bottles of wine were opened.
During the year we tried out a bunch of different tomatoes, and finally settled on a brand we liked.
Every week we tried to invite at least 4 people to come over for dinner, here's a graph of who came with who.
Jade came 9 times in 2016.
Miles travelled for pizzas
Berlin is really far away.
Different people came
And we'd gladly have any of you back in a heartbeat.
The only thing that settles a belly full of pizza is some nice amaro. Here are some of the brands we tried this year. We enjoyed them all.
Our go to after dinner drink is still a tiny bottle of Underberg. We've been saving the caps to get a little truck.
* 108 caps collected
We made our own amaro, and named it after our dog, Booger.
Our friends at
invited us to host a popup at their sandwich shop. It was a ton of work but a lot of fun.
Runner up: Jessica A
That's on top of the 256 we made at home.
pizza pans purchased
We're ready for our next popup.
Basic Instinct Running Time :
